Ubuntu CheckGmail always prompt for password fix 





Download patch from here




sudo /usr/bin/checkgmail -update




sudo patch /usr/bin/checkgmail checkgmail.patch

    Note: (at least for Ubuntu 11.10)

    i) Install patch package from Synaptic (before step three)
    ii) Tip: (Checkgmail icon) http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1710616 (at the end)
